1. Introduction

Welcome to Reciplan – Indian Meal Planner, a product developed and operated by Amalthea Labs LLP (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Reciplan mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By downloading, accessing, or using Reciplan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

2. Our Mission

Reciplan is designed to simplify everyday cooking and kitchen management by combining:

  • Meal planning
  • Recipe discovery
  • Grocery organization
  • Pantry management
  • Smart cooking workflows

Our goal is to help users:

  • Plan meals efficiently
  • Reduce food waste
  • Improve kitchen organization
  • Cook confidently using Indian recipes and meal systems

3. Eligibility

To use Reciplan, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your region)
  • Have the legal capacity to accept these Terms
  • Use the Service only in compliance with applicable laws

If you are using the Service on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to do so.

4. Your Use of the Service

You agree to use Reciplan only for lawful and personal purposes. You must not:

  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, overload, or damage the Service
  • Reverse engineer or copy any part of the application
  • Use automated systems or bots to misuse the app
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access if misuse, abuse, or malicious activity is detected.

5. Local-First Architecture & Data Responsibility

Reciplan follows a “Local First” architecture. Most core user data is stored locally on your device, including:

  • Meal plans
  • Grocery lists
  • Pantry items
  • Preferences
  • Cooking schedules
  • Planner configurations
Important Notice: We do not guarantee permanent storage or recovery of local data. Data may be lost due to:
  • Device failure
  • App uninstallation
  • OS restrictions
  • Storage corruption
  • Manual deletion
  • System resets

👉 Users are responsible for maintaining backups where appropriate.

6. Recipes & Content Disclaimer

Reciplan provides recipes, meal suggestions, preparation guidance, and cooking workflows for informational and productivity purposes only.

Cooking results may vary depending on:

  • Ingredients used
  • Cooking equipment
  • Preparation methods
  • Environmental conditions
  • Individual skill level

We do not guarantee:

  • Taste outcomes
  • Nutritional accuracy
  • Recipe completeness
  • Cooking success
  • Ingredient availability

Users are solely responsible for ingredient selection, preparation, and food handling.

7. Dietary & Health Disclaimer

Reciplan is not a medical, dietary, nutritional, or healthcare service. The app does not:

  • Provide medical advice
  • Diagnose conditions
  • Guarantee nutritional outcomes
  • Replace professional consultation

Users should consult qualified professionals regarding allergies, medical conditions, dietary restrictions, pregnancy-related nutrition, or health-specific meal planning.

7.1 Food Safety & Allergy Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for determining whether recipes, ingredients, or meal plans are appropriate for their personal health requirements.

Reciplan does not verify:

  • Allergen safety
  • Cross-contamination risks
  • Medical compatibility
  • Dietary suitability

Amalthea Labs LLP shall not be responsible for allergic reactions, food-related illnesses, adverse health outcomes, ingredient incompatibilities, or user dietary decisions.

8. Subscriptions & Premium Features

Reciplan may offer optional premium features and subscription plans, including advanced planning tools, smart reminders, recipe scaling, and enhanced productivity features.

Billing

Payments are processed securely through your device's native app store billing platform. We do not store or process payment card details or process payment information directly.

Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Cancellation

Subscriptions can be managed through your device's native app store account settings.

Refunds

Refunds are governed solely by the policies of the native app store. Amalthea Labs LLP does not directly issue refunds unless required by law.

9. Free Trials & Promotional Offers

We may offer free trials, introductory pricing, promotional subscriptions, or limited-time access.

Important:
  • Unless cancelled before the trial ends, subscriptions may automatically convert into paid plans.
  • Only one trial per user unless stated otherwise.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue promotions at any time.

10. Notifications & Reminder Features

Reciplan may provide meal reminders, cooking alerts, preparation notifications, and soaking/marination reminders.

These reminders are configured locally on your device and are dependent on system permissions and OS behavior.

Notice: We are not responsible for missed notifications caused by:
  • Disabled permissions
  • Battery optimization
  • Device manufacturer restrictions
  • OS limitations
  • User settings
  • Connectivity issues

11. Advertising & Sponsored Content

Reciplan may display third-party advertisements, including advertisements provided through third-party advertising networks.

Advertising providers may use:

  • Android Advertising ID
  • Device identifiers
  • Cookies or similar technologies
  • Diagnostic information

These technologies may be used for ad delivery, fraud prevention, ad performance measurement, and personalization (where permitted).

Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on user settings, device configuration, regional privacy laws, and platform consent requirements. We do not directly sell personal information to advertisers.

12. Analytics, Diagnostics & Crash Monitoring

To improve app quality and reliability, Reciplan uses third-party analytics, diagnostic, and crash reporting services.

This information is used solely for stability improvements, error diagnosis, performance optimization, security monitoring, and product enhancement.

Certain features of the Service may require internet connectivity, including:

We are not responsible for service interruptions caused by internet outages, app store or platform service failures, ISP disruptions, device restrictions, third-party downtime, or network instability.

15. Intellectual Property

All content and intellectual property related to Reciplan, including app design, branding, logos, features, UI/UX elements, recipe database structures, planner systems, source code, and graphics are owned by Amalthea Labs LLP or licensed appropriately.

You may not copy, redistribute, modify, reproduce, or commercialize any part of the Service without written permission.

16. No Guarantees

Reciplan is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee:

  • Continuous availability
  • Error-free operation
  • Specific outcomes
  • Data preservation
  • Compatibility with all devices
  • Ad availability
  • Subscription uptime

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amalthea Labs LLP shall not be liable for:

  • Data loss
  • Recipe outcomes
  • Health-related issues
  • Food allergies
  • Subscription disputes handled by native app stores
  • Device failures
  • OS-level issues
  • Missed reminders
  • Third-party advertisements
  • Advertiser content
  • External links
  • Revenue loss
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Your use of the Service is entirely at your own risk and discretion.

18. Service Availability & Changes

We may add or remove features, modify functionality, suspend portions of the Service, change subscription offerings, update pricing, or improve infrastructure without prior notice where permitted by law.

We do not guarantee permanent availability of any feature.

19. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated, fraudulent activity is detected, abuse or misuse occurs, or security risks arise.

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the application.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Updated versions will be reflected by revising the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of Reciplan after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Jurisdiction shall lie in Maharashtra, India, unless applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.

22. Amalthea Labs Platform Terms

These Terms may also apply to other products and services developed by Amalthea Labs LLP unless separate terms are provided. Additional app-specific conditions may apply where relevant.
